The Altitude to Abyss Challenge takes you from the summit of Snowdon to 1,375 feet underground, with a luxurious bunkhouse stay in the heart of Snowdonia National Park to complete the experience. Day 1: Climb to Snowdon’s Summit Your challenge begins with a hearty group breakfast at the luxury bunkhouse, preparing you for the day ahead. After breakfast, transport will take you to the starting point of your Snowdon climb. Led by an experienced Mountain Leader, you’ll hike to the summit of Wales’ tallest peak at 1,085 meters (3,560 feet). The route is designed to suit your group’s abilities, allowing everyone to take in the sweeping views of Snowdonia’s mountains and valleys. Once at the summit, enjoy the breathtaking vistas before descending. After completing the climb, return to the luxury bunkhouse, where you can relax and recharge for the next day's adventure. Day 2: Descent into the Abyss with Go Below ! Following another energizing breakfast at the bunkhouse, day two will take you into the depths of a North Wales slate mine. Transport is provided to the site, where you’ll embark on a guided underground adventure 1,375 feet below the surface. With helmets and headlamps, you'll explore vast tunnels and chambers, discovering the rich history of slate mining while navigating this fascinating subterranean world. The contrast between the towering peak of Snowdon and the deep, mysterious mine makes this an experience unlike any other.
